So on day 2 we woke up and crawled into the car. We headed south from Morongo to San Diego, on the way we stopped in Paris for breakfast, We ate at Denny's I was happy because they had Choulula sauce which is my favorite. So on down to San Diego after we ate, the drive was nice and the scenery was cool. Once we got to SD we checked into the K.O.A. we rented one of the cabins for 2 nights. Once we got our room we got a 6 pack of Pacifico and sat down long enough to finish it off. Then we were off to tijuana, we caught the bus to the trolley then rode it to the border and walked across. The border was strange... There was a line of people as far as you could see walking along, we went up on a pedestrian walk way over the road, then down on the other side. Then we walked through a turnstyle doorway through a short tunnel, and ta da your in Mexico. No border guards... ? So in TJ we went down the main route, bought a couple of things then went for diner. We went into this cool restaurant that over looked the road, so we sat there and watched things in the sun. We had a huge meal and about 6 beer all for $20. So then we headed back to the U.S. we caught a cab to the border. Once we got there we started to stand in a line that was about 2 city blocks long. Just then an old school bus rolled up and said $1 and we will drive you across, so Joe and I jumped the fence and climbed in. The bus got the oversized lane, and we were throughout the border in about 15 min. Then on the trolley to the bus to the K.O.A., then we got another 6 pack and sat for a bit until we decided to go out... We were looking for a sports bar, what we got was a little room and a guy singing songs to a Karaoke machine. I have been to lots of karaoke bars before, but this was not one of those... There was only one singer, and he had a guitar which he didn't play it was only for effect. So after a couple of Guinness, and some Nachos we decided to called a day.
Back to the K.O.A.
